Nearly two years ago when Amber emailed me about her wedding day, I instantly excited! She had dreamed of getting married at Via Vecchia and couldn’t wait for her to arrive. Event though it was a ways away we were both excited. Last summer we did their engagement photos and talked all about their day. Well their day finally arrive this past Saturday. It was so so beautiful! With an 80% chance of rain all day, they had to make the decision the night before to move the ceremony inside. Which still was so beautiful. THANKFULLY! That 80% chance of rain did not hit Via Vecchia until it was dark. Seriously a miracle. The storms were all round us but it didn’t rain while we were taking any portraits. We were so thankful. I loved shooting at Via Vecchia and all the fun little spots around it.
The girls got ready at the Westin Hotel, such a beautiful hotel right in downtown. The guys were getting ready in german village where the grooms family lived. We started with portraits at schiller park and then headed to Via Vecchia to take advantage of the no rain and that adorable alleyway. I am a sucker for brick so this was a dream spot. The bridesmaids wore a kelly green and it was gorgeous. Amber you were such a stunning bride and you beamed ear to ear all day! Amber carried a beautiful vintage bouquet her mother made of all her grandma’s broaches. She had nearly 100 in this bouquet how sweet is that?! It was gorgeous and meant so much to Amber. Everything came together better then imagined. I loved celebrating along with these two and their friends and family. We also got to see and hangout with one of our past couples Tiffany & Zach. I always love seeing past couples at our wedding.
Amber & Zach your day was amazing. We loved it! Thank you for having us capture it. Enjoy that honeymoon. Here are all of our favorites!!
