A few months backed, I had blogged about an opportunity to speak to a group of photographers at an event called Renew Night. Here is that blog if you missed it.

Last night was the 1st ever Renew Night! It was such an incredible evening to be a part of. Around 30 photographers signed up to be at this renew night to start off their year in the right mindset and ways to make 2016 a better year. This was Andrew & Chrissy’s dream to bring to life and they put so much work in making that happen. Thank you both for your whiling hearts to reach others! The night was so encouraging, getting to meet so many photographers I hadn’t met before and catching up with old friends. 

The evening started off with the amazing Ashley West sharing her story. As she would say, this was majorly stepping out of her comfort zone. But It was so so good and so encouraging. Hearing her heart and her journey of getting to where she is today was so great to hear. Seeing how she has grown in her business and learning to say no and set up boundaries in her business was so encouraging to me. She did absolutely amazing and so many people were able to relate to her. My talk followed hers, talking about work balance life. I reflected on what 2015 looked like – the ups and the downs- and then the changes we are making for 2016 to have a better mindset of what is truly important. We talked about defining success in our businesses and I challenged everyone to create a word or a statement to live by for them personally and their business. Andrew & Chrissy closed the night out with a more practical talk about 10 days to kick off 2016 on the right foot. They shared so many good things that are important in your businesses to keep growing and so you don’t get out of balance. I am so excited to start looking at different areas in our business to improve and correct as we begin the year. 

Thank you to everyone who came out last night. It was such a blessing seeing so many new and old faces. I am so excited for this community and the way it is growing! This coming Tuesday, is our 1st 2016 Tuesday’s Together and I can’t wait!! Community is everything and it is changing out industry. Thinking back to just a year ago and wanting that community so bad to today and having this amazing group of people all around is such an incredible thing. I am so looking forward to the year ahead and the people we will meet.
