We kicked off the year with a trip to Charleston. What a blast this weekend get away was to Charleston. We got to spend time with our cousins for a couple days before attending our leaders retreat. We explored the cute parts of Charleston and fell in love with this cute town all over again! Trev was also extremely sick during this get away, but he was such a trooper!! It still made for a fun trip 🙂
In February, we headed to Nashville with Tony & Hannah. We got the cutest Airbnb and explored all the cute places. We had the best donuts in the world at Five daughters, highly recommend. While we were in Nashville, Trevor did a film for his buddy who builds guitars. It was a blast of week and we are so thankful for our friends.
It was a last minute decision to go, but it was the best decision!!! SO thankful to end up at the pursuit conference. This was the 2nd time attending this conference and It was such an encouraging week. I have met some amazing people here and I also grateful for their friendships. I hope someday to return <3
We hosted our 2nd workshop this spring. I love investing into other business and seeing them grow. We had 12 amazing attendees. We also had a great styled shoot, styled by Chelsea and with some absolutely amazing vendors. I couldn’t be more grateful. I hope to host another one this year 🙂 Loved everything about this shoot!! SO many details.
We took a spontaneous trip to D.C. to meet our friends Ash & Ty! We explored DC for the day and let Ash & Ty show us all the fun parts of Virginia. We hiked a mountain, spent a day at Big springs, went to Pippin hill, and enjoyed time at their house in Richmond. It was such a fun week. thank you southwest for cheap flights!!
Our being an AUNTIE is the best!!! So excited to have two sweet nephews this year. One born in February and one born in July. Couldn’t be more excited to love on these little guys. <3
This was our 2nd time attending this marriage conference. It has been such a blessing in our marriage and I am so thankful for this week away to invest in it. I will always remember this week. So many amazing speakers, couples and people who you get to invest in. I will miss going this year, but hope to be back to this gorgeous place!
This one is probably the best of the year! We BOUGHT our first home!! our 120 year old home. I LOVE every part of this place. I praying this is the year we move in 🙂 we have torn this place down to the studs and rebuilding in. It is going to be a dream when we are done. Lots of blood and sweat going into this place. But it will ALL be worth it. 🙂 My favorite spot in the house is the window seat. I cant wait for the day to snuggle up there all day <3
We headed to Big Springs & Goshen Virginia for 4th of July. It was such a fun weekend. While we were there we posed for Katelyn’s posing course! She was just pregnant, it was hot, but it was ALL worth it. What a blast this few days was. A few sneak peeks of my favorite photos.
I love this time of year, FAMILY VACATION. We have taken family vacation for over 20 years. I always mark my calendar for this day every year. I can hardly wait. This summer was a blast. We spent a week in Hilton Head. Shannon had the best idea to buy a million blow ups and it made for the most epic photo ever 🙂 I love our family.
We loved shooting each of our couples wedding day. We had 26 AMAZING weddings this year, it is always a little extra special getting to travel to the beach to shoot a wedding. This was our 1 destination wedding of the year and we loved being apart of Erin & Justin’s wedding day in Florida.
One day, my sister in law, Hannah was over and she was telling me she was gonna take a trip to Iowa, I quickly chimed in and said I’ll go!!! Let’s go surprise our friends. Oh it was such a blast. I got to surprise my dear friend Erica, who I hadn’t seen in a long time at her front door of her house. It was the best surprise. She was 7 months pregnant and I got to take some photos of her cute little family. It was such a great few days. I am so thankful for my friendship with her!
Our biggest trip yet! And that one time the airline canceled their flight and we were a day late and couldnt film a wedding?! Oh but it was okay, this was still the best trip of the year! Oh we LOVED our short 48 hours in Iceland. This place was BREATHTAKING. We had been planning this big trip to Iceland & Italy for months with our friends. It was dream come true getting to see the other parts of the world. How gorgeous is this waterfall?! I have so many favorite photos from this trip. Iceland we will be back. oh yes we will!
The trip continued, to ITALY. Gosh this place was GORGEOUS. Like everything I had dreamed of since I was a kid to see Italy. Rome, Tuscany, and Venice you did not disappoint. I loved ever part of this place. From the amazing Italian food and gelato to all the gorgeous photos we got to take. Thanks so much for Tyler & Ashley for making the trip to polar opposite places with us. such a blast. I cant wait to return here someday! Oh and we will never be flying the drone over colosseum again…. oops. SO many fun memories.
I met Amber, who started Legacy candle co, now called Eleventh Candle co, in March at the Pursuit Conference. We were instantly friends. I loved getting to know the heart of her businesses this year and taking photos. This past November I joined as an ambassador and have been volunteering there. It has been such a blessing in my life to join this amazing organization in columbus. I love their heart, getting to know these women and burning their amazing candles. The last big trip of the year was to Memphis Tennessee for the Creative at heart conference. A conference I had hoped to attend someday. It was everything and more.
